New Years's Trash Pickup - Update?

This initial schedule was copied from AL.com

Madison County/Madison garbage pickup: Monday's garbage and trash will be collected on schedule; Tuesday's garbage and trash will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday's garbage and trash will be collected on Thursday (January 3rd); Thursday's garbage and trash will be collected on Friday: Friday's garbage and trash will be collected on Saturday

Allied Waste Recycling: No change Monday; Tuesday routes will be collected on Wednesday (January 2nd; Wednesday routes on Thursday and Thursday routes on Friday.

Today's (Dec 30th) Huntsville print newspaper says that Allied Waste is closed on Jan 1st... but it says nothing about an alternate pickup schedule... so who knows what will happen this week. I am not optimistic

Harvest-Monrovia Water issues mandatory restrictions - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

HARVEST, AL (WAFF) - Harvest-Monrovia Water customers have been subjected to a mandatory Level 3 water restriction.
Authorities at the company said the mandatory water restriction is due to a lack of participation from customers when the company issued a voluntary water restriction.
Harvest-Monrovia Water Association said tank levels have declined below the 50% storage level, possibly affecting the water needed for drinking, normal household use and the ability to fight fires.
Level 3 is defined as the following: Outside water use is prohibited except on Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. for even numbered addresses, and from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for odd numbered addresses. No outside watering is allowed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The company said violations of the mandatory restrictions will be punished by fines and or disconnection of water service.

"We" (as in Summerfield) have a rooster

Today while heading to church, we encountered a rooster entering the road on Sarah Jane from the west just south of Misty Glen.
I have since found out that a Summerfield resident not only has this wandering rooster but also chickens. Sigh..... a definite prohibition according to HOA regs. I've heard that Jeff Benton has been made aware of the situation and is supposed to be contacting the family this week.

RESPONSE FROM JB:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We will investigate and address accordingly.
Thank you
Summerfield HOA

Update: 8 June 2012
Talked to a neighbor who tells me that the rooster and chickens were picked up by Animal Control last week.

Pool and Fire Ants

Email on April 30th:
Took my son to the pool this afternoon for the first time this season. There is a somewhat large fire ant hill near the restroom entrance in the bushes as well as an enormous fire ant hill growing into the patio area at the far left corner (opposite the secondary gate). Please have these treated before some child gets seriously bitten.
Thank you.

Response on May 1st:

Dear Homeowner,

This matter has been addressed with the pest control people.  It should be resolved shortly.

Thank you for your email.
